Does eating healthier seem too BORING and expensive, not to mention too complicated, with all those dos and don'ts? At Harvest Home, we found simple and DELICIOUS ways to eat healthier. DELICIOUS is important. If it doesn't taste good, who wants to eat it? Like most of you, we're busy, so let's keep it simple.
Red, White, and Blueberry - Celebrating the 4th of July
Summer berries are arriving just in time to help us celebrate! Find juicy red strawberries and plump blueberries at our Harvest Home Farmer's™ Markets. Strawberries were early this year. Grab them while you can. Yum, yum, yum!
Ready, Set, Go - FRESH!
Our markets are opening THIS WEEK!!! Get ready for the just-picked taste of FRESH fruits and veggies: sweet strawberries, juicy blueberries, crispy greens...kale, Swiss chard, lettuce... crunchy sugar snap peas. All are ripened in the field (not on a truck) on local farms. Brimming with that FRESH taste you've been waiting for and overflowing with healthy nutrition.
Celebrate Spring - Pack a Picnic!
At last! It's warming up! Start the season with your family, friends and neighbors. Pack a picnic for the park. It's wonderful to be outside in the late spring air. Think about filling your backpack with food for feasting that doesn't hurt your budget, your back, or your health. Skip the bottled drinks and packaged snacks and try some of these.
Mother's Day YUMMY
Happy Mother's Day from Harvest Home. You deserve a celebration (and a Thank You, Mom) for all the meals you make, the laughter you share and the tears you wipe away. What's a celebration without a meal that's a bit special? We thought you'd enjoy a different twist on a breakfast favorite: pancakes. Not thick, heavy pancakes, these are light and thin as a tortilla and twice as delicious. Fill them with fruit, like applesauce or blueberries with yogurt. Mouth-watering! And healthy!
