Throughout the season, as customers shop at our farmers’ markets, HHFM offers on-site programs promoting nutrition education, physical fitness, and creative ways to enjoy fresh, local produce.
EATING FOR GOOD HEALTH (EFGH)
The Eating for Good Health program brings professional chefs and nutritionists to our farmers’ markets for lively, hands-on cooking demonstrations. These interactive sessions highlight simple, affordable, and delicious ways to prepare fresh, locally grown produce. Each season, more than 25,000 adult shoppers and children take part, leaving with bilingual (English and Spanish) recipes they can recreate at home to support healthier eating habits.
