With good reason, everyone is talking about the recent debt deal. The deal will affect us all in one way or another. In terms of food stamps, they have escaped cuts for now, but that will not be a guarantee during Phase 2 of the Budget Control Act of 2011. With this issue, we would like to begin featuring some of the farmers and vendors that sell at the markets. R & G Produce, LLC is a 400-acre family-run farm in the Black Dirt region of Goshen, NY. In 1998, brothers Raymond and Gary Glowaczewski took over operations and founded R & G Produce, LLC. Harvest Home Farmer's Markets, was founded in 1993 by Maritza Wellington Owens. The company grew out of the need to increase access to farm fresh produce in low-income neighborhoods. One of the organizations founding principles is that all members of our society, irrespective of their socio-economic status, should have access to good quality produce.
